Add, Edit or Delete Events

Events allow you to let everyone know when your group is meeting for rehearsals, board meetings,  coaching, auditions or performances!


Adding Events

Navigate to the Master Calendar page, and click “Add Event” in the top right hand corner

You can also search the menu for "event" to be taken right to the area to add an event.

 

Add your information to create the event

The mandatory fields include Title, Event type, and the start and end time of the event.

  • If this is a public event, and you have a public site with us that is linked to your Members Only site, you can select “Featured Event” to have is displayed in the Featured Events blocks on your public site.
  • If you're sharing this event on your public site (you've marked it "public" using the checkbox at the top) then you'll want to expand the heading that says "Public event fields"  to add a photo and public notes or attachments.
  • You can enable attendance by checking the box near the bottom of the page under the "Attendance" heading. There is more information on this further down in the article in the section called "Enabling attendance & Sending notifications"

When you’ve filled in all the information you need, remember to click the save button at the bottom of the page.

 


Creating Repeating Events

While inputting the event start and end time, make sure you checkmark “Repeat”

From the expanded option, you can choose how often it repeats and on what days, when it should stop repeating, and if it should not include any specific days.

As always, when you’re done, click save.

 


Editing Events

For a single event

To edit an event, go to the event's main page, and click the edit tab.

After making any changes, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the save button.

Note: Single events cannot be edited to become recurring events. Recurring events must be created from scratch.

 

For a recurring event

A recurring event will have a drop down box below the save button. It will give you several options for saving your event.

 

  • update just this one event will change only the specific event date you selected from the calendar.
  • update all future event in this series will change this event date, and all occuring after it.
  • update all events in the series will change this event date, as well as all past and future event dates.

Select whichever applies, and click save.

The update will then be confirmed.

 

 


Deleting Events

 

For a single event

To delete an event, select the event you’d like to delete and go to its main page, then click the “Edit” tab.

Next, scroll to the bottom of the page and click delete.

 

For a recurring event

A recurring event will have a drop down box below the delete button. It will give you several options for deleting your event.

 

  • delete just this one event will delete only the specific event date you selected from the calendar.
  • delete all future events in this series will delete the date you selected, and all following dates.
  • delete all events in the series will delete this event date, as well as all past and future event dates.

Choose whichever option applies and then click delete.
