Every chorus structures its music differently, and you can more easily keep certain songs and repertoires separate by assigning them Categories, such as Regular Repertoire, Christmas Show, or Old Repertoire.

Navigate to the Music library page

You can access the Music page in the main menu by clicking on: Music Area > Music Library.

This page is not accessible to members.

Edit the categories (or add new ones)

Between +Add Music and Music help, there is a link labeled “Categories”. By clicking this, it will take you directly to the Categories Menu, where you can edit the preexisting Categories, or create your own.

You can do this by clicking the “Edit” link next to the Category already available, or you can create your own by click “Add Music Categories” in the top right corner.

You'll name the Category, can add a description of it, and click “Save”. The descriptions will only appear on this page and are for admin purposes.

Protip:  

You can change the default order the categories appear in by dragging and dropping the terms on this page into a different order. Use the "cross arrows" on the left to drag and drop the terms.
